Household Interior Tasks:

- Dust cobwebs from ceilings, corners, nooks & crannies. Also dust all solid-surfaced furniture and polish any wood furniture.

- Dust light fixtures and fans.

- Dust wall décor and any other table-top décor.

- Vacuum out air vents and floor registers.

- Wash blinds and curtains.

- Wash interior windows.

- Wash baseboards, doorframes, doors, etc.

- Check and replace batteries in smoke detectors/Carbon Monoxide detectors.

- Clean out refrigerator and dispose of expired items.

- Sweep and mop any hard surface floors.

- Vacuum all carpeted areas.

- Wipe down all cabinets and counter tops.

- Scrub and wipe out all sinks and toilets.

- Vacuum out dryer lint trap.

Household Exterior Tasks:

- Sweep and hose down all patios, porches and decks. We have a wide selection of great pressure washers and accessories in stock.

- Scrub and rinse down all patio furniture, let cushions air dry in the warm sunshine.

- Dust and clean out all exterior light fixtures and replace bulbs.

- Sweep and spray off all sidewalks. We carry a great nozzle called the “Little Big Shot” in stores and online that works great for this if you prefer not to use a pressure washer.

- Wash exterior windows.

- Scour and wipe down your BBQ grill, heat the grill on high for 10 minutes then scrape and scour the grates, rinse or wipe down thoroughly. To season the grates fold and pinch a paper towel with tongs and dip in vegetable or olive oil and wipe the grates down thoroughly with the oil. Polish the exterior to make it nice and sparkly. For added protection from the elements grab a new grill cover to keep your grill protected.

That’s it! Depending on where you live you may have other chores to take care of but this is a great basic checklist to follow to get you started. Now on to summer entertaining!
