SAFE-GUARD (fenbendazole) CANINE DEWORMER is for the treatment and control of Roundworms, Hookworms, Whipworms and Taenia Tapeworms in dogs. Safe-Guard Canine dewormer for dogs treats 4 major intestinal parasites in dogs using only one drug compound, fenbendazole, minimizing your dogâ€s chemical exposure. The daily dose for Safe-Guard Canine is 50 mg/kg (22.7 mg/lb) of body weight

BENEFITS:
  • Mix the daily dose with a small amount of your dogâ€s usual food. Your dog should eat all of the medicated food. If feeding dry dog food, it may need to be moistened to aid mixing

  • When mixed in food, dogs usually eat it without fuss, which helps to ensure that they receive a complete and proper dosing. Make sure your dog eats all the medicated food. You may need to moisten your dogâ€s dry dog food to aid mixing. Because of the life cycle of whipworms in dogs, SAFE-GUARD Canine Dewormer must be used three days in a row to effectively destroy this canine parasite. This three-day strategy ensures all four major types of parasites are eliminated. And, since you only have to administer SAFE-GUARD twice a year, you can choose which three days for each session are most convenient for your busy schedule.

    Recommended Deworming Schedule:
    Schedule may vary depending on the climate where you live and the activity of your dog. The following schedule should be used as a general guideline.
  • Weaned pups (6-8 weeks of age) should be dewormed at 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks of age.
  • Treat the dam at the same time as the puppies.
  • Dogs over 6 months of age should be dewormed at least twice each year.

    Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism. Approximately 1% of dogs had vomiting associated with the use of this product.

    Safe-Guard Canine Dewormer has no known interactions and is an ideal complement to monthly heartworm prevention products, which may not protect against all four major types of intestinal worms.
