Bees are ONLY shipped directly to the consumer and are shipped via UPS Overnight Express.
Consumer MUST be available to accept shipment as it is not safe to leave bees unattended.
The tentative shipment/arrival will be in late April or early May and is dependent on the weather. You will be notified approximately two weeks prior to shipment and then again when bees are shipping.

Carniolan-Italian Hybrids are known for their hardiness in the colder climates, rapid spring buildup and honey production. They show good resistance to tracheal mites and are great comb builders. Our Carniolan-Italian Hybrid breeders are mated in an isolated area and observed for a year prior to use in our breeding program.

Mellivo will NOT refund any package bees or shipping cost for 2026. Customer assumes full responsibility for package bees and shipping cost.

Customer must be home to physically accept and receive the packaged bees from UPS. Package bees will need to be installed within 24 hours. Keep in a cool dark room prior to installing.

Please do not transport your bees in a secondary container (i.e. plastic container). Package Bees need air flow. Do not place your bees in direct sunlight or in direct wind.

There are approximately 10,000-12,000 bees per individual 3lb. box. Mellivo has supplied you with more than 3lbs of bees as there is expected shrinkage (death loss) of 1-2%. This shrinkage is common and to be expected. You will also receive a young Mated Queen. We offer no guarantee-implied, oral or written for any of our Bees or Queens. We must do this simply because we have no control of what you do with your Bees. Before you leave, you are fully responsible for any and all losses or accidents.

All payments for Queens and Bee packages are non-refundable. If for some reason you find that a Queen Bee is deceased, please contact your Store Manager within 24 hours. Proof of the deceased Queen Bee must be provided (picture) in order for a new Queen Bee to be shipped directly to you.

Mellivo will not ship replacement queens on Friday-Sunday and or Holidays. For packaged bees showing dead bees of more than 50% upon receipt and inspection of the package, customer MUST notify store customer service within 24 hours of receipt. Customer must email with pictures
